Re: Introducing Myself
'LHD' fitment seems to have been standard on most BL vehicles, certainly seems to have been the case for all Triumphs, the Minor and the MGB.

Re: Introducing Myself
Can confirm the Aussie cars suffered from wipers lifting, fitted the clip-on airfoils that were a thing in the 80s, did help a bit, but not perfect.

Re: Introducing Myself
I thought there were only two wiper arms for Marinas, "sided" to either sweep to the left or right windscreen pillar? Iirc early English cars had "sweep to the right", until BL discovered the wipers lifted at motorway speeds and they swapped to "sweep to the left". So, ...

Re: Tyres
Interesting. In Australia and NZ the standard tyre was 155 x 13 on the fours and 165 x 13 on the six. In NZ they would have been a locally made version of the Dunlop Aquajet or Firestone Cavallino. Not cheap today! https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/tyres/155-13/155hr13-dunlop-sp-sport-aquajet.html £1...

Re: Gearboxes
Pretty sure the gearbox is one of the few components imported from the UK, so should be identical. Think the big adaptor plate on the back of the engine mates to the English bellhousing.

Wow, only Australia making that tubing? Nice to know they survived the loss of their car manufacturing industry.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Does this mean more progress soon? :) Yes, about to order polybushes for the suspension. Father-in-law passed away before Christmas, he was an auto sparky and I get the job of sorting out his garage. Several sets of drawers with electrical bits and bobs. https://oldschool.co.nz/uploads/monthly_2022...
