Re: Removing the fromt quarter window

You will probably need to drill out the rivet in the top of the door frame holding the front part of the window frame and move it in the direction of the rear of the car to allow the quarter light to be removed.
If you have opening front quarters you can get them out with out doing the above.

Re: Prise off the wheel arch chrome trim

Work from one end using a plastic pry tool but remember the 2 ends are held with a bolt on clip so you need to remove the nut on the inside of the arch first. Should come off OK if you don't over bend it or kink it hence use a plastic tool between the wing and trim.

Re: Offerings from Down Under

MK1 have a chrome thumb lever with a push button to release the lever. they cut the corner off the glass on MK2s to stop the wind Whistling through as the MK1s are bad for that. Jubilees were the first UK cars to have them as they has USA spec bits etc.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

I had NOS tie bar bushes fitted to my fresh restoration of the Jubilee and they exploded before the car went on the road!
So poly ones went in.

Wow those revs are nice.
If you find a set of 14" in that condition I would be interested.

Re: Sinking seat

When I had mine re trimmed the chap put a thick cloth material between the wire spring and the seat foam which stopped it cutting its way through the foam. This has worked so far but if the springs are going slack that may not help.

Yep that centre cap would bend my mind!
You can line the screws up 2 ways, like Franks wheel or around the circumference.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Both wheels are 14" Diameter. Yes Frank has a dished Moto-lita wheel on his ST.
I still have the BL packaging and bag for my Moto-lita wheel from 1973! Not in great condition but present.
