Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Replaced worn out and oiled bushes on the LT77 box. Cleaned up the Xmember and renewed the tail shaft seal. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180603/ed4059ddf9a2127fd23954f9ea0aa35c.jpg Old and squishy https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180603/5c6cf10605bce64dc8def0079d2f8c3b.jpg Old vs new https:/...

Good idea. Might have a go at that.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

I think it would have been easier if the manifold was on the same side to standard. At least that way it would cross behind the engine, away from heat. The difficulty here is that the stat housing is on the same side as the exhaust and unless you have a moulded hose it has to snake around the driver...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Had a lucky escape - was moments away from having this burst. Feed from stat housing to heater core... it slipped onto the exhaust manifold on the Turbo... whoops. The car obviously didn’t like red pipes... replaced with a standard heater hose and re-routed away from extreme heat... https://uploads....

New van - mk3

Had Frank Phillips fit a new arch on my mk3 van and repaint the rear end this week. Looks very solid again! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180413/3ac746e68492eb2c71bfee56ad2c413d.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180413/d871fc8ab4ba5103eba33c2dbdd8db98.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2...

Re: A nice day for boost

Yes it’s form over function. And one of a few niggles to be sorted as I go along.

Re: A nice day for boost

How low can you go... I wound the adjusters right back, took for a spin and it was a lot better but a little wayward so I’ve now wound them round 1 half. They don’t appear to have a click adjust- not sure if they are just an older model that don’t have one... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2018041...

A nice day for boost

Absolutely agree with you Kilroy and David. Rear springs are standard saloon 2 leaf with lowering blocks, plus very wound up dampers. I shall wind these off completely and see how that goes. Will have to save up for a replacement set for the front [emoji3] torsion bar is standard saloon also. Sent f...

Re: A nice day for boost

looks great Ben wot about Monroe load adjuster rear shocks I've got and used these and found they stiffen the back end up but still have a good ride baz I’d like to tune the suspension based on spring weights and the weight of each corner, rather than fit assisted shocks. Even if it means changing ...

Re: A nice day for boost

Pretty sure it’s the shocks. They are not very forgiving. Might try un winding them (if the adjusters will move) and see how it goes.

A nice day for boost

The sun came out so I took the opportunity to take the turbo for a run and wax it. Just need to fix the slow filling issue when at the petrol station and fit less spine crushing rear shocks... Nice to be back on the road after 25 years! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180411/9016edb822e275b31c772...
