Hey folks, picking up this thread again. I assumed my tacho was faulty but have now tried another one and still no action. Any other ideas? I have tried both polarities. Do I need to ground it or something?
Any suggestions welcome:)

Re: Wiring a tachometer
Yep, correct. Also confirmed by the fact that the car would not run when one of the wires were disconnected.

Re: Wiring a tachometer
Hello folks. It took me a very long time to get back on this one since I ended up with a pretty big job on restoring and upgrading my Marina in the meantime. I wired it in series on the white wire from ignition to coil as described in this thread (and I also tried the opposite) but the tacho seems t...

Removing the fromt quarter window
Does anyone have a good tip on how to remove the front quarter window? I just need to remove the chrome below the window really but it seems to be fixed with a screw or nail below this small window. I have removed the wiper seals, clips and all that on the large window in the door but struggle a bit...

Re: Rear side window frame on coupe
Great! I will probably take the window out in a couple of weeks and will let you know what the dimensions are so that you can check if you have something.

Rear side window frame on coupe
I recall to have seen a discussion on the pieces that hold together the chrome frame in the past but could not find the thread. Is it possible to get hold of these?

Re: Wiring a tachometer
It does not seem like it shares harness with the 1.8. I have located the white wire from the ignition and will wire the tacho in series as described. Any recommendation on wire thickness to get? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181206/5d976cf9814c534ad617a490640f45ae.jpg Sent from my iPhone using ...
