7/16 UNF more than likely if a 10cwt could be a old BSF thread due to age of rear axle my best bet would be 7/16 though

Re: Pre-engaged starter motor
Pre engaged would be the way to go. My MGB has one fitted as does the late 1.7 Ital I have for parts. To build up the 2.0 for the planned engine conversion on my Brown Coupe. One thing of note is the Inertia starter engages from the back of the flywheel, whereas the Pre engaged engages from the fron...

Re: Introducing Myself
I have heard the wiper lifting story before. Not sure I really believe it myself. The early cars that had RHD did indeed have the wipers the correct way around. The shell already had holes punched in scuttle for both LHD and RHD the holes were even in both flitches for wiper on either side the holes...

Re: Ignition Timing for O Series
What I would do in the absense or a rolling road is set it to 25deg BTDC at 2500 without vacuum then road test the car puling away 30-50 mph at full throttle knocking the timing back in 2 deg incruments untill the engine stops pinking. This will give you ignition timing just about optimum for your s...

Re: Fuel Tank sender units
Assuming earthing the signal wire from the gauge sender with ignition on gauge shows full fault lies in sender unit. The sender unit itself can also suffer from a poor earth as earth is only provided by the lock ring. Clean off a section of the metal pipe on sender unit attach a extra earth wire wit...

Re: Dropping Front Suspension
Have thought about cutting the floor section out of a Scrap Tr7 I have, to give a similar arangment. A lot of work. Same could be achived by fitting a Phannard Rod or Watts Linkage Fuel tank does sit close to rear axle though. I currently run MK1 Escort lowering blocks moified to fitthe Marina Sprin...
