Re: how many Marinas left in Ireland?
1973 1.3 Coupe, 73 MH 525, been up on DoneDeal for a few weeks now but only just saw it the other day. Seems to be a fairly original unmolested car. Looks like an original dealer sticker in back window, and is that an MMOC sticker too? Asking €2500 = £2200 or so. More details in photo in ad. but can...

Re: Should the coupe have looked like this?
I can see the appeal of a saloon converted to a two door, and if the proportions of it ended up looking anything like a two door Escort you might be able to add a nought onto the value of it! It had occurred to me that the easiest way of balancing out the proportions of the glass in the coupe might ...

Re: Should the coupe have looked like this?
Ah that'll be me! And this was my rendition. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190130/c8b719296d9280f8edfac03ddcca9eb6.jpg I did rescue a car from the banger track with no engine or interior and practically no o/s front chassis leg either, and then I bought a similarly rotten MGBGT with a good engi...

Re: Too Many Spares!
I could use one of those interior rear view mirrors? GOL came with some kind of chrome plated effort which is ok but Mk1 suction cup type would be good if you have a spare one? Could get it in Devon? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'll bring them with me. Great job, cheers. Sent from my iPhone ...

Re: how many Marinas left in Ireland?
And another update, for sale on Gumtree, asking £450. Doesn't bode well for a car though when it's advertised as a suitable engine / disc brake donor for a certain other model of Morris... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180619/a17d833103babf4481263a0c01799121.png Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: how many Marinas left in Ireland?
So saw both of these cars for the first time at Kilbroney Show this weekend. Very clean '75 1.3 SDL. Nice original local NI reg. car (very few of these left I think) wearing some TC trim. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180617/4105ef5fc07255c717f8a8e7a6100b7f.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/...

Re: how many Marinas left in Ireland?
Keeping the thread up to date. Probably the oldest Marina in Ireland built pre-launch April '71.

Yeah it's the kind of place where people don't really bother to lock things, so living here does have it's advantages, another one of them being I'll never be short of space to park another Marina [emoji3]

Re: It’s that time of year!
Yeah it does depend on where you live. One of the reasons it's cheap where I live is that there aren't really any people who'd nick your car because there aren't really any people!

I insured the 1.3 this year for £76, fully comp, unlimited miles. Was happy at that [emoji3]

These guys try so hard to make themselves look cool by associating themselves with a Marina..

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Yeah she enjoyed it alright! Those seats were actually reupholstered a couple of years ago by a Polish guy in Lurgan so they're actually still super soft and plush - had her lulled to sleep within a few miles [emoji4]
