Reinstalling rain gutter/drip rails
I removed the plastic rain gutters from my '75 Austin Marina.....they are apparently the same as those found on later UK Marinas. One was going to drop off into traffic shortly and that would have been fatal. Anyways, one needed some cracks repaired and both were shabby looking, but they came off in...

Re: Wiring a tachometer
My Austin Marina came with the two gauge cluster, and this past summer I put in a three gauge cluster. All of the wiring for the rev counter was already in the harness, so hook up was easy. Since the car came with a pertronix, I purchased an RVC 2430 rev counter from Ebay instead of using the existi...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Well, she's now in storage. 7 degrees celsius and enough rain to wash away a lot of the salt. I put poly bushes on the tie rods during the summer and realized today on the run to storage [out in the country with hills and curves] how much of a difference they make. Not like my MGB GT but much more p...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
This weekend its supposed to get much warmer, and rainy. So hopefully that happens, washes the worst of the crap off the roads and I drive her over to winter storage.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Today.....I started her. I haven't got her into winter storage yet and we've had a cold snap north of Toronto and its been full out winter and -13 degrees celsius tonight. So I put a magnetic oil pan heater on her and started her up after several days of increasing cold. She complained a bit but fir...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Hi from Canada. Well, today I replaced the speedometer cable - the clip had broken off and only a bit of tape and friction were holding it on. I then swapped out the original two gauge dash cluster for a three gauge one. I kept the original speedometer from the car. I recently found an RVC rev count...

LPR 1305 Brake master cylinder
Does anyone know if this Brake Master cylinder will fit a 1.8 Marina? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brake-Master-Cylinder-1305-LPR-P29423-Genuine-Top-Quality-Replacement-New/232802097649?epid=1541784200&hash=item36341619f1:g:M8kAAOSwE-xbHmXJ It supposedly cross references and will fit, at least acc...

Re: Jacking points - for trolley jacks.
Thank you soooo much for the pictures, especially those under the front. My B's have a cross member, and that simplifies things greatly.

Tail light seals/gaskets
There was a thread from a few years back about new neoprene seals for the rear tail lights. Are these still available? It seems like they solve some of the leaky boot problems. Would love a set for the Marina.

Marina and Allegro tandem master brake cylinders
Does anyone know if they are interchangeable? They have different girling casting numbers but apparently the same bore. This one is for an allegro, and looks exactly like the one on my '75 Canadian spec car.

Automatic transmission carb linkage
I've been thinking about converting my Austin Marina 1.8 to twin carbs. Due to the location of the brake master cylinder on the North American spec, I would use the Moss cold air intake for the air filters. It has an automatic transmission, which complicates things. Does anyone have pictures of the ...

In a wrecking yard near Ottawa, Ontario is this bedraggled Austin Marina. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/ottawa/vintage-import-parts/1200914210?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true According to the owner of the place, this is a '76, and he also has a '78 saloon, mostly stripped of parts. The '76 is ...

Re: Using a floor jack
Thanks! What if one is working on the suspension? Where would you put jack stands, and is there a good spot under the front to lift the car with a floor jack?
