Re: The old steering rack bush trouble

Great Chris,

I didn't think it would have worn out, just pribably fallen out and didn't know if this was a known problem- seems it is. If I take the boot off the end of the rack, I should be able to push it back in no?

The old steering rack bush trouble

My daily driven 1300 marina has numerous minor ailments (carb leaking, a fuel pump that today decided to partially disassemble itself, multiple oil leaks) However, there has developed an alarming (mostly for unassuming passengers) clunk from the front end every time I catch a bump or am at speed. A question for the super nerds amongst you!

Right, my 76 1.3 has an awful habit of rattling loose the nut that holds the cable onto the starter motor... Normally making itself present with the ominous tick of the solenoid without the starter engaging. The nut is normally re tightened and off we go again for a good 3 weeks before it does it ag...

Re: clutch cylinders

its not so much that it wont go into ger, more it is reluctant to. i think its probably worth further investigation anyway. while hes there he's going to replace the seal in the tail of the gearbox, which has been weeping for sometime. it would be strange if the clutch was stuck- it had done a near ...
