Re: four door coupe

I would love to try making a two door version of the saloon. Take a coupe, cut the rear half of the roof and boot area out and graft a saloon rear end in. Knowing BL they wouldn't have changed the front doors anyway, so no need to lengthen them! Mk3 front door glass cut to size for the rear windows...

Re: Another 1971 Car Found!!!!!!

That barrel is out of a fuel cap I think. The end is cast differently and won't take the lever and washer behind the handle. If you get stuck, I have loads of Marina door lock barrels here.

Re: Leyland Marina panel differences

Looks like everything was welded in by hand rather than spot welded. Interesting stuff

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

You can buy those blank in all sizes. Domed resin badges. Print out the sticker you want and glue it from behind. I did one for my key fob which was missing the resin badge.

Speedwell was another brand I've seen, I do see them on eBay sometimes but they always seem to be Ford fittings.

Re: Another 1971 Car Found!!!!!!

The lock barrel looks fine, it's the wafers that look done for. You might be able to flatten them out again but if not, I have a tin full of them here if you need some. I'd have to send you the tin though so you can match some up to yours as they will be specific to your key's cut.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

I can't quite remember to be honest. Either a car boot sale or eBay, been in my shed for years. I used a fabric tape measure which has a bit of stretch so they are probably 40 mm then.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

The cups are 5cm along the front face and 7cm at the back, the badge is 41mm. I was going to use them for the TC wheels I have but they don't fit those.
