Has anyone refurbished the plastic / chrome colour bezel around the Mk 1 rear lights? I dis-assembled one last night expecting to find clear plastic that was painted silver on the inside. I've finally started work on my 1980 2.0 Ital Estate Auto. I think I've sorted the water pump and theromostat and now need a new battery. But what is the correct battery? I know a 038 and the slightly higher capacity 015 are the right footprint and height and will fit, but what was the original spec...

So I've just unpacked a new water pump for my 2.0 1980 Estate. Should I use the paper gasket dry (onto clean mating surfaces) or use some sealant as well? If so any recommendations for what type.Thanks.

Anyone know what the difference is between GWP 140 and GWP148. One is used for the 1.7 and the other for the 2.0. They have the same gasket and fixing screws so whats the difference? More "vanes" maybe. ?? Some non OEM show their pumps for both engines. Any info appreciated.
