Re: *** THE GREATLY UNDER RATED MK3 MARINA ***

Much as I adore my TC..... especially the exhaust note.
I DO have a soft spot for a Mk3 1.3 HL.Must be a HL.
Either in oyster or tara green. Would be tempted though to swap over the engine to an A+ setup.

Re: East Kent trim

I did my escort hatch screens with some a few weeks ago. From a distance it's not too bad but.....has also degraded.
It doesn't like going around sharp corners.
I even did it on a red hot day having soaked it in a bucket of hot water too!

Rear Seatbelts.

Hi,
I understand that Metro/ 114 rear belts go straight in on a Marina. Has anyone actually done this?
I recently purchased a complete set. So looking for pointers or pitfalls before I start the job.
Thanks in advance.

Re: What engine oil are you using??

I just use the normal Comma mineral 20/50.
Change it every year. No issues at all.
As long as changes are done in good time then no need to worry really. I'm guessing that the latest mineral oil will be better performing with better additives than back in the 70's. T

Re: BATTERY

Pleased to report that I connected the battery back up. I cranked for around 30 seconds to get some fuel through and then sprayed a little start spray to get things going. All was well and i let it run for around 20 mins. Pleased to add that I didn't have a stuck clutch either. Good considering the ...
