PAUL I had the same thing happening with mine the rev counter bouncing up and down and felt like you were switching on and of quickly it turned out to be the condenser . I put points in ...

Re: RE: Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Well they were bought just prior to the Ital being released 1979. Might have been the only ones in the unipart brochure. Although the 1700HL estate had them. Added later to the Marina range after the original mk3 inception. Personally I prefer the thinner ones as the thicker were more easily kerbed/...

Re: RE: Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Just spent a whole 1 hour (plus a bit then) sanding down my wheels, ready to tidy them up with some rattle can zinc primer and wheel silver. Not tomoz cos I'm out. Maybe Saturday. Clearly they won't be a concours job, because for that they'd need to be shot blasted and powder coated, but I bet my e...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Now fitted and working! I used a 12 inch fan and everything is a very tight fit. Only real problem that I encountered was putting the yellow fanblade back on to the water pump, because once the electric fan was fitted to the rad.....it can't pass the original fan blades. So I had to fit it back on t...

Re: Morris Marina 1.8GT road test - Hot Car April 1976

Quite a decent write up. About right at the time. Was really competing with the mk3 Cortina at that time. Having spent a lot of time as a youngster in both, I think they were mainly equals with only the ford edging forward on the ride and refinement. However the 1.8 engine (still now) is miles ahead...

Mini clubman or 1275 gt. I've got them on mine. You can get chromed or stainless.

Re: RE: Re: Mk2 1.8 HL Automatic update

Oh it was the radiator in mine. Apart from the blocked tailpipe that came to light last year, when I gave up trying to make it run right and handed the car over to my local garage expert. But I had the rad rebuilt with a close-to Sherpa van specification, which is what had been recommended to me. H...
