Thanks Ivor, I'll try and get hold of you one evening this week.
Ebay has turned up trumps, so thanks for the advise Matt.
Quick one, I've read previous threads on U bolts, am I right in thinking the bolts for a Minor are the right ones?

Leaf springs - where to source
Hi All,
Question - what happens when you take a corner to fast on 45 year old suspension?
Answer - anyone know where I can pick up a rear leaf spring for a '74 saloon.... I've tried some minor garages but they only have 5 leafs and nothing on ebay
Based in the west midlands if it helps.

I think it's just come off, haven't had the fascia off yet due to working late but will be having a look over the next few days.

Re: Heater switches/toggle bars broken
Thanks jubileenut
I had a horrible feeling the lighter would need to come off.
Just a curious one, the green light thing, should it do anything?

Heater switches/toggle bars broken
Evening all, it's been a while since I posted but am in need of help. In my exuberance this evening to have a cool flush of air on my feet I've broken the toggle bar thing (I'm sure it has a correct name) on my dash board. From what I can tell the cable behind has detached itself from the toggle bar...

Re: Temperature gauge issues
Thanks David, I will give that a go tomorrow. Just to make sure I understand fully, take of the sender (electrical cable) off the sensor, put it on to a peice of clean metal attached to the car whilst the engine is running? If it goes all the way up, sensor is the issue if it doesnt then the cable i...

Re: Temperature gauge issues
Cheers both, Tim you broke my heart a little, I was quite looking forward to seeing cora I will be doing a flush this week, was going to happen before this. Fuel gauge works, it constantly reminds me I need to buy more petrol. I won't lie, I am a complete car novice. What does short to earth mean an...

Temperature gauge issues
Hi all, Driving to Peterbrough today I learnt something amazing about my car. Apparently I have the best cooling system ever. Even in the heat of today and driving for 2 hours my temperature gauge never moved more than half a cm. I'm assuming therefore my marina is either amazing or broken. Am I rig...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Changed and cleaned my front brakes, they've been squeeky since I brought her and I finally had enough.
Whilst not a big job to some, before today I had never even changed a wheel so I'm quite chuffed.
No more squeeky brakes and I even managed a grown up skid
