Hi
Went to an exhaust shop. They suggested getting a flange laser profile cut (using the gasget as a templatel and then they would weld on extractors. Likely to be A$1300 all up. Will think a out it but looking around for a Maxi/Allegro set up.

Re: Leyland Marina E-Series Twin Cam
Thanks KWS,
the photos will be useful when I go to my exhaust shop and ask them to magic something up. Alway fun when you realise the carb upgrade has cost more than the cost of buying the car!

Re: Leyland Marina E-Series Twin Cam
Bryan,
Thanks for your help on e-series manifolds.
Given your expertise I thought I would ask if you had any insites on why my fuel pump is on the rocker cover when others are down on the block. It's a Goss pump.
Cheers Bob.

Re: Leyland Marina E-Series Twin Cam
Many thanks Bryan
Will definitely look at the R-Series options and investigate getting some extractors made.
I got this car because I learned to drive in one in Invercargill as a lad.
Cheers

Re: Leyland Marina E-Series Twin Cam
Thanks Dave
Good to know there were indeed separate manifolds. I just tried UK ebay and other sites but can't find one yet. Will look at the cut down option but might be hard to integrate with the new inlet manifold as the ports are very close. Thanks again.

Leyland Marina E-Series Twin Cam
Hi All from Australia. I have an Australian Leyland Marina 1750 with an auto trans. I was hoping to upgrade it a bit with 2 x SU HS6 carbs that I happen to have. I even have a twin carb inlet manifold from Lynx especially for E-Series engines and SU Carbs (see picture in link below) https://www.lynx...

Re: Steering Lock Surprise
Update After drilling out the shear bolts (not easy) and checking and reassembling the steering lock, I found I still had the issue of steering locking. Turns out a bolt in the flexible coupling on the steering shaft had worked loose and was jamming. Someone had used a nut with no spring washer or n...

Steering Lock Surprise
Hi, pretty happy with my 74 Leyland Marina purchased recently (Australia). However, after driving it 70km home I have found recently that the steering can lock while driving (turning right) although so far only at low maneuvering speeds. Needless to say I have stopped driving it on the road. The ign...

Re: Offerings from Down Under
Hi Bobby, Looks like you got a good deal. :D I was given this info (from "BigCarl" iirc) for the Aussie "Leyland" Marina (after it was re-engineered for the E6 engine) 025 E2S4A17/8236 025 = Marina E (odd, should be A for Manual or B for Auto) 4S = 4 Door Saloon (2S for Coupe) 2...

Re: Offerings from Down Under
Hi I acquired the red and white Marina. It is now in Brisbane. Goes well and is in great condition with zero rust. It has a TC grill but only 1 carb. It’s a 3 speed auto and the only issue is that it rolls in park. Suspect it may be a linkage issue as highlighted elsewhere in this forum. Also wipers...
