Re: Searching For AOH 669T

Hmmm, it’s not been taxed since 2000, so it’s probably gone to the great car park in the sky. It last changed hands in 1999, so it may have been broken up for spares or to power a Morris Minor or MG Midget or for a kit-car not using that registration. There’s an outside chance that it’s squirrelled ...

Re: Polyurethane bushes

Yes I have them on my Coupe. I left them in very hot water for a good half an hour and I used some of the assembly grease inside the eye to make it slipperier. I then got some threaded stud and nuts, together with two big and thick penny washers. One washer goes behind the bush and the other on the ...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

Great toy Balmy!

David Painter, I agree about the slide hammer, I bought a fairly cheap Neilson one and found that one of the adapters has the same thread as the halfshaft, easy peasy to pull the halfshaft in seconds.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?

All UK Pickups had the wood trim. In the UK the the bed cover was extra, as was the option of a canvas back and frame (a lot like the old Series Landrover arrangement.

Re: 10cwt ute

The overdrive has around a 25% gearing the exact gearing is shown in the serial number on the O/D unit. So in O/D top you will get about 32 kph per 1,000 revs.

Re: 10cwt ute

Finally got the chance to check my reference books. In top gear a standard Pickup will turn 23.17 kph for every 1,000 rpm.. The ratio is 4.55:1. If you were to change that to a 4.11:1 diff then you will get 25.6 kph for every 1000 revs. Your Pickup has the so call BMC 'banjo' axle, as well as the tw...

Re: 10cwt ute

The Diff on all UK Pickups/Utes is 4.55:1. I’ll need to look up revs @ 100kph.
