Re: Ital Estate on a blog

I tried to buy that when it was in Spain. Missed out by a couple of hours. Shame if it hasn't been on the road in a while.

Re: Spam Adverts

Thank you. I've turned off all moderator access apart from me to see who wants to help out.

Let me know if you can assist. David, I will turn yours back on if you are still up for it?

Thanks Matt. I'll add you as well of you are able.

Re: Rear Leaf Spring Saddle Pad

All springs have a dowel through it that should align with the axle spring pad. The commercials had an alignment spacer fitted that locked into the pad and so no rubber pads.

Re: Rear Leaf Spring Saddle Pad

They are there to help reduce the harshness (metal on metal) of the axle to the spring - You don't have to run them.

Re: Overhauling the leaf springs

The offset ones will lower the centre line of the axle slightly.

They are fitted to the front of the spring

Re: Overhauling the leaf springs

Some of the spring bushes are different. If you had a later mk3 or Ital then it might have had offset centres. These are mostly on Itals but some Mk3s also had them.

Re: Marina inbound, with questions

If it can be pulled out a bit that would help. Repair panels are available via the owners club.
