It needs to be gone sooner than later. It is outside and that isn't ideal.

Not running and driving, although I'd help getting it started if you were serious.

This is a lovely 1.8 SDL that has been sat around for a while. Needs some welding and love. Would make a great project for someone.

Not sure what I’ll have next year. I’ve got two now that need new homes.
Best thing would be for you to let me know when you are ready and I’ll see what I’ve got.

Re: Practical Classics Feature September 2021
It was a great experience meeting Nigel and Matt when they came over to see the car. You are absolutely right, having a car in a magazine beats the internet hands down. Totally worth it.
HEL performance are fantastic aren't they? As you say, great product and service. Glad they came through for you.

First things first, make sure you have all the other pieces that will bolt onto the block you have.
I’ve got a front wheel drive steel sump that might help convert your original to the new block. I might even be able to convert it for you.

Re: exhaust flange
Minor exhausts are a smaller diameter as they are only 1100cc - Marina exhausts can be got hold of or even made brand new.

Re: exhaust flange
What year is the car? You could be right and it is an early manifold. You can use a later one and just block off the servo tap.

Re: exhaust flange
Not all no. Certainly not in the early years. But the manifold would have been the same on cars with and without.

Re: exhaust flange
The Marina 1275 has a take off for the servo on the manifold. Part number: 12G3538 - eBay say it is the same as a mini: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/194208870696

Or just use a FWD sump if you don't have an ARB. You could cut and shut if you cut them exact and maybe TIG it all back together.
