Hi Mick, It's how the fan is fitted to it, your should just have 4 threaded bolt holes on the plate that mounts the pulley and fan, like below. Re: crankshaft dimensions.
All Marina cranshafts should be marked somewhere with the part number. The BL parts manual 1971-75, lists the 1275 crankshaft as 12G 1302, later engines used different crankshafts and other parts. It could well be that one or other car had a later engine fitted at some time. The pulley and harmonic ...

Andrew, I think that it means that it is taxed (free), the date of liability is in the future (01/07/2010) which means when the next tax is due is July 2010. I reckonise some of the other cars in the picture, but I don't think a recent picture. Try contacting Andy Walsingham, he could recognise the ...

Re: ANOTHER Ridiculous EU directive!!!!!
Good try MikMik, I've been waiting for someone to post a Loof Lirpa story.
Loof Lirpa will be well known to our Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish friends as a nordic god of meriment and japes, whose feast is celebrated at this time of year.

Re: Ital Carb Identification and help
Angus I have to say that this feals like a wind-up, but assuming it's not, can you post a picture of the engine, we may be able to identify it. Also on one corner of the carb there will be a small aluminium tag with a number something like FZX 1309, there are lots of different ones. If you can suppl...

The Morris Marina Owners Club is affiliated to the MSA, I am the registered Competitions Secretary. I'd be interested in working with some people to set something up?

The early one doesn't have the fluid driven fan. You can have it for £15 plus the postage.
PM me if you are interested.

Re: Water pump...
mikmik,
There are two types, depending on whether you have the fluid driven fan or not. As it happens I have an earlier one, which I bought by mistake some time ago, if you are interested?
