Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
In my case the title should always read "What didn't you do to your Marina today?" Sooo....with fuel pump gasket paper still yet to be obtained, no desire to change the engine oil till I'm sure the fuel leak (from said fuel pump) is gone, I decided, once the torrential downpours outside h...

Re: Mk1 breaking on Car and Classic
looks to have a 1.8 dash but 1.3 grill :eh: Are 1.8 B series engines easier to get hold of? I have a gearbox, and hundreds of numerous other parts. If I can find a good 1.8 B series I may give it a go.. I don't know  TDT is pretty much finished, Josh has a space in the shape of PTH and my han...

Re: Mk1 breaking on Car and Classic
What would be the best alternative engine to fit in a Marina if A series are too expensive or always missing? If fitting a completely different engine is it worth putting in the extra effort for something with a bit of grunt? ..something modern maybe

Could have been restored quite easily. White Marinas are always a good seller.

Re: Very early 1.8 dead in a field:(
Slam panel still has the body number plate, the panel is just twisted around. Chassis plate side is long gone though. Oh well, it may not be one of the first 5000 cars Josh, but like PTH it could tell you something about that point of production  I can see why early cars are so interesting :l...

Very early 1.8 dead in a field:(
My girlfriend showed me this when rolling through old Facebook posts. I don't have a Facebook account so not sure if it's already known.
Where is it and have parts been saved? Still has it's cross ply tires so probably wasn't on the road for long!- Fri Jun 24, 2016 8:32 pm

Re: someone save this marina ??
It's down to what it's worth at the end I guess unless it's the exact model you been looking for and your keeping it. If there's no engine or box then it's probably a better idea to break. If all Marina's got restored there wouldn't be any spares to keep them on the road.

Bought an oil filter the other day on eBay. I like cars to be original but the line has to be drawn somewhere! 2016-06-20 18.25.31.jpg 2016-06-20 18.21.56.jpg 2016-06-20 18.21.33.jpg The listing said new/unused and the pic on eBay said Library Picture.. I was expecting a run of the mill Halfor...

Where did all these cars go? I remember the roads full of Metro's and BX's! The BX was one of the first cars I did a service on.. I still have some of the old work sheets here of the cars I worked on :surprised: Not sure if it's just me but I think Citroen was at it's peak when they were making the ...

Some nice cars on there. I like the Avenger next to it, one of few non BL cars I really like though I much prefer the later Chrysler and Talbot versions.
