Re: Marina Time Travel
Crazy to think it's back home not more than twenty miles away from where it was made, this clock has been on one heck of journey then! I've made a start on assembling everything. A couple of options, I could keep the two pod dash and have the fuel and temp on separate gauges somewhere, or make a fou...

Re: Marina Time Travel
Interesting stuff. If they were made here I'd imagine it would have at least been an optional extra, so it's more than likely they were made only in Australia.

Re: Marina Time Travel
Clock arrived the other day, looks great! Thanks, Bryan  I can't see any printing stating where it was made, only the tape on the box. I had to hold it up against the light to see what it says as it's covered in paint. Interesting difference I noticed is the outer ring of the clock is black...

Re: Marina Time Travel
I'll certainly have a look before fitting it. It's a shame the 1.3 over here only had the two clock dash, would have been a nice feature, probably would have been cheaper for BL too as they wouldn't have had to use two different shrouds. Rev counter for the 1.8, clock for the 1.3, simple:)

Re: Marina Time Travel
Yes, can't wait to fit it, cheers Bryan. To think it's coming back to the UK after all these years and only down the road from where it could have been made is pretty cool. The factory is still there under the name Caerbont Automotive. I drive past it often. They still make clocks, I wonder if they ...

Re: TEST POST
It's happened a few times since I joined this forum, more so in the last couple of weeks though. When I post something in the thread I get a blue screen with lists of data explaining something went wrong and that the post wasn't sent. I post again only to find my first post actually went through and...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Sorted out the engine mounts on that yellow Marina today, while I was there she had a few spares to give to me. Not sure if I want to go back for the rest, there were some serious looking spiders where the parts are kept!

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Story of my life, mate, story of my life! :rolls: Cake is all I'll get out of the red Special, she offered the car to me! Not because it'll cost too much, I haven't even given a price as I don't really want to take it on, but she knows I'm an enthusiast and the car would be in safe hands with ...

The engine mounts have let go so will be taking a set up to fit so she can d...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
..he says with a chuckle ;) ahh, it's all good mate, still keep me posted on anything Marina related in Wales, always appreciate it. I might be taking a look at that rotten brown estate near me if the buyer doesn't turn up, he asked me to ring him later. If I do, I'll save what I can from it and scr...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Had a message from Chris about someone needing a few clutch parts for her Marina in Newport so I took a trip up to see exactly what was needed as she wasn't explaining it very well... it needs more than just a few clutch bits! The owner is in her seventies and she got taken for a ride at her local g...
