Re: Wobly gearstick

There is a gear stick on Ebay and I think Rimmer Bros do the plastic cup on the yoke under the gear stick.

Re: New Club Mag - Jubilee Picture on rear!

Hi Matt,
Was the main chassis in good nick when you got hold of the car?
I.e. was it better than mine?
Are there any parts or bits which are a problem to find or is it just getting some time to finish it?
I bet you are more busy now you have semi retired

Re: New Club Mag - Jubilee Picture on rear!

Hi Matt, What does it need to finish it?
Must have most of it done?

Dave, My original Jubilee had the bumpy rear valance the same as pictured with reversing lamps in the rear trim. I have seen a mixture of both in Jubilees.
But none with the to modern rear lamps fitted.

Re: New Club Mag - Jubilee Picture on rear!

Hi Ivor, yes, it is missing some Jubilee items. But I am sure they can be sourced.

Hi Matt, I think its all the time at home at the moment and knowing I have a few spares which would look nice on it. Either that or I have gone mad?
Are you thinking of moving your one on now they are so common place?

Re: Black and Silver Number Plates

My Jubilee will be able to have them as it is class is Historic and older.
But I don't want to swap out the original plates it has so it will be staying yellow and white plates.

Re: New Club Mag - Jubilee Picture on rear!

So its done about 52K miles looking at the speedo. Its got both Jubilee badges which is a good thing. Looks like it needs 2 wings and near side sill and rear inner and outer arch. Not sure what has happened to the passenger inner door pull handle? Looks like it melted. Not bad by a long shot though....

Re: New Club Mag - Jubilee Picture on rear!

Nice Pictures Ben.
Where about is the car residing?

Ivor, My original Jubilee was given to me by my uncle who owned it from new. I crashed it in 1988 and it was scrapped. After being rolled at 50MPH and hitting a 7.5 ton BT lorry it was pretty wrecked.

Re: New Club Mag - Jubilee Picture on rear!

Hi Ivor, I D don't know how long for but I guess as long as it took to do 2000 cars? I know the local dealer ship where my uncle bought his car had a Jubilee under cover before they were launched. He reserved it before it was uncovered I think as he worked there. I will have to ask him when I see hi...

Re: New Club Mag - Jubilee Picture on rear!

Its missing its rear under riders presently. and the boot lock is incorrect type so the boot may have been replaced so may be the alterations came about due to repair or a prang? The rear looks to be straight with no obvious signs of repair. Be interesting to see inside the boot behind the rear trim...

Re: New Club Mag - Jubilee Picture on rear!

Hi Ivor, This is a late model as the Jubilee was on the switch over of the rear valance, some had reversing lamps in the applique rear trim and others had under bumper lamps. Mine is an early one with under bumper reversing lamps. None would have those rear lamps with integrated reversing lights so ...

Re: Another Marina story from journalists without a clue

My brother has a 1.2 Eco boost Ford and the engine blew on that. He got Ford to change the knackered lump with a new one so he was lucky. I told him to sell the car before the the new engine does the same. He had so many issues with coolant leaking from header tank, heater matrix then a hose until t...
