From my house it would only take about 10min to get the Marina to the Marina!

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
According to classicboat website, 'The Seagull has become one of the few engines ever to achieve cult status. In it's heyday of the 1970's, British Seagull was selling over 80 000 motors a year - small, affordable, bulletproof outboards barely changed since before the war.' Seems just right in the b...

Re: Mk3 Coupe Belfast Gumtree
Was going to say I don't know how I missed this one, but it's because it's advertised just as a Marina and I always just search for Morris. Looks very tidy in pics so I won't even be going to have a look at it for fear of it ending up joining the fleet...

Re: Is this too far gone or worth saving still?
I second that, damage does look repairable, soul destroying though after all the hard work, but would be a shame to give up on it now, although I might give it a rest for a while, wait until you're ready to get properly stuck in to it again and it'll feel even more worthwhile in the long run.

Keeping an eye out for that one alright, when I see it I'll pay special attention to what kind of a gear knob it's got...

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Well I'm very pleased to have a TC gear knob on my Special, and I'm still going to count it as rare and desirable! I've been into Marinas for a long while but I've never actually laid eyes on a TC! Don't know of a single one here in Ireland, although would be happy to be corrected on that.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Hard days graft today swapping gear knobs over.. One that came with my Mk.2 Special had insert missing so swapped it over for one that came with my new Mk.1 SDL project. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160112/1a0e6b1ed1999f9895819b031a5912fb.jpg Don't know what it came off originally, it's the ri...

Re: New marina owner
Good decision I think, bum barnacles notwithstanding! Looks like it could clean up well. There's a thread - 1979 Morris Marina L Saloon on eBay.

Re: New marina owner
Hi James, welcome to the forum, think one or two people might have been a bit pass-remarkable about your car when it came on eBay... but no offence intended and great to see it / yourself on the forum. Are those lights something to do with requirement across the channel years ago? Good luck with res...

Re: Marina Axle U Bolts
Worthwhile saving on blocks there, haven't decided yet whether to go for !.5" or 2.0", I'll see how much I can get on front first just winding down adjusters without changing splines. Good website too, worth having a good look around, cheers.

Re: Marina Axle U Bolts
Just ordered a couple of sets of these bolts from ESM, £3 each plus postage. Set that includes lowering blocks is £36 which means you're paying £12 per block, which seems expensive enough for a lump of metal that I'm guessing would need altered anyhow before it'll fit? Reckon it's not hard to fabric...
