Good news.

I am pre-empting someone else' great work, but last weekend saw the "coming out" of what will be a superlative effort to revive one of NZ's earliest still existing Marina vans.
Hopefully it will grace these pages in detail at a later date.

Wow, that’s brilliant Ken. Which white is it, it really pops?

That looks fantastic and looking forward to see it completed.

No comment on the paint.
I guess its mostly "all white now"...
It belongs to my mate to whom I sold the Marina Coupe - but then bought it back.
We go a ways back... :)

Lovely job. The more I see Marina vans the more I want one!

Haven't seen many windowless vans, that's a great save.

I had an idea for removing the window openings - which most NZ vans were afflicted with.
I figured bonding a piece of panel steel across the entire recess would provide a nice ripple-free solution.
This is the first attempt at using that approach.
Looks fine..
