Morris Marina 1.8GT road test - Hot Car April 1976

Post by mickthefitter » Fri May 25, 2018 12:26 am

I was going to put this in the 'Publications' section but it seems it doesn't fit the criteria. I rediscovered this article when going through my magazine archive looking for photos of brown cars. Sorry I photographed it rather than scan it but I know how easily the staples tear through the paper on these old mags if they are opened out too far. It's very readable I think.

Quite a decent write up.
About right at the time.
Was really competing with the mk3 Cortina at that time.
Having spent a lot of time as a youngster in both,
I think they were mainly equals with only the ford edging forward on the ride and refinement.
However the 1.8 engine (still now) is miles ahead of a pinto for the sound and grunt!
