It's what they came with, but most bikes I work on have had NGK's fitted for the same reason - everyone stocks them.
One thing I noticed between the two is that for the same grade of plug - in my case B8ES v N3C - the position of the electrode on the Champion places the spark a little further into the combustion chamber.
I think that is beneficial, especially in the Trident/Rocket 3 engines where the spark plug barely makes it through the alloy head.
Imagine the same might apply to a B series head..

Good point Kilroy, might have to try some N9ys, cheap enough to experiment with eh?
Wow, have you got a Rocket 3 or a Trident? Those ray-gun pipes on the BSA are super cool. 8-)

Yes, a couple, which is why I have to work on cars outside.

I work on bikes for friends so my shed is a busy place..

Champion N9YC plugs are available here:

If anyone wants to experiment with them or compare them to NGKs.

That's some collection Kilroy, like the white tank on the Rocket 3 not seen a white one before. Crikey look at the pipes on that Trident, USA spec?

No - it's a one-off.
Took me 18 months to rebuild after it threw a rod.
The owner commissioned the exhaust then had to hassle the exhaust builder for 4 years to get it done.
There was a Triumph 650 called a "TR6C" with this system, so we call this a "TR7C".
Only one on the planet.
The white/yellow T160 next to it is mine - bought it new 41 years ago.
The white R3 was built as an Isle of Man TT Marshall's bike replica.
And yes - it has raygun mufflers.. :)

Apology from me too for encouraging him!
Motorbike chat continued in Off Topic.
I trust that all those "original" Marinas out there are fitted with Champion plugs!
