Well done, very nice looking car! I think the MGB had a painted metal expansion tank too.

The build code YH2S7 means :-
Y = made in Australia
H = Marina
2S = Coupe
7 = trim code, but 7 is not on the list I have.

The engine code is on the block by the distributor, 14 for 1500 or 17 for 1750.

the expansion tank looks like the normal marina tank sprayed black, the metal ones are usually brass with a metal strap to hold it on.

It appears that both the expansion tank (and occasionally the windscreen washer bottle) were supplied in black plastic from the factory, judging by many of the photos at OzMarina.
