Too Many Spares!
Unloaded the spares I picked up in PTH today and I've sifted through as much as I could before just giving up and throwing everything into the shed
Took some pics of which is a fraction of what I came back with! When I have a few days free I'll sort through it all properly.

Crikey!
If that's an extremely tidy (or even new) TC grille I could be interested in that for starters

Hi Gareth,
I'd be interested in that MK1 washer bottle (on the 4th photo above the cider box), a sender unit (think I spy a new one ), MK1 fan switch (if you have one) and maybe some other bits if you're looking to sell any

Re: Too Many Spares!
Awesome, thank you . I'll type up my parts list for you :
Early (I think 1 inch) clutch slave cylinder
Early Girling brake master cylinder seals
Early points for the distributor VGV would have (can't remember it at the moment)
MK1 fan switch
That MK1 washer bottle with I think the motor on the lid
The new looking fuel tank sender unit (or any one that moves freely )
The clutch hose that goes from the clutch master cylinder to slave cylinder
I think that's everything but I'll let you know if there's something else I may need that I've missed off

Re: Too Many Spares!
Alex- if Gareth doesn't have a clutch hose I have quite a few here. I'd be wary of NOS master cylinder seals. Any NOS cylinder I have ever used has developed a leak, much safer buying new ones, especially when it's brake hydraulics on a single circuit car! Earlpart sell them.
Distributor on VGV should be either a 23D4 or 25D4. 23 had no vac advance. Same points used in both!
I'm most jealous of that uncracked brown dash

Re: Too Many Spares!
Most of what you need is there. I have a new clutch slave, could be the later type but will still fit, I've a tin full of old Lucas points and stuff so should be something there. Couple of fuel senders there and an early washer bottle. Like Josh said, better buying new when it comes to seals and I wouldn't trust a used clutch pipe either, could pop off! I think you can still buy them new?First-Car as Marina wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2017 8:31 pm Awesome, thank you . I'll type up my parts list for you :

Re: Too Many Spares!
Reverse light looks good not sure which if any of the rear lights are perfect but should be able to make a good pair out of what's there.
I'll have a better idea of what's there later in the week as I'm looking at my own pics. I haven't looked through all the boxes yet.
I'll pm you soon mate.
