Early marina brakes

Hi all ,I have a January 1972 1.3 coupe that I am restoring and I need to know what type of front and rear wheel cylinders or repair kits I need there appears to be two types my chassis number is 46762 so am I right in thinking I need the early type?

Hi Keith, good to see you on here. Yes you need the early type. The early front wheel cylinders are 19mm- same as Triumph Herald and Anglia 105E. They are available new. You need early shoes as well, usually available on eBay. Rear cylinders on early drum/drum cars are 17.5mm. Same as disc/drum cars from late 72 to 1980. Again these are available new.

Cheers Josh I realised that the front cylinders were the same as my anglia after I took them off,thanks for the info on the rears

On my early car the rear cylinders are dolomite sprint and shoes same as escort mk1. It's a TC so may differ

Early 1.8s and TCs had different sized wheel cylinders and were auto adjust.

As it says in the listing, those ones are for 1973-1975 models. Early ones had different shoes and cylinders
