Re: Ital shell
Looks to have taken a good whack. Take some measurements from a good car and compare them.

Re: Ital shell

Re: Ital shell
It looks like the wing and bonnet has pushed up against the scuttle. Check the inner wing where the bumper bracket is fixed, even the lightest of shunts will crease it as it's a crumple zone... that's speaking from experience!

Re: Ital shell
The important part is the wheel in correct place.Measure side to side front centre of front hub to centre of rear hub is equal both sides, with a piece of string, to make sure wheel is not pushed back. Secondly is door pillar/ A post damaged and miss aligned, although I don't expect it is as windscreen is not popped out. The rest is easy repair, to flitch and scuttle. As you are probably able to salvage the required panel sections from the green shell.

Re: Ital shell
That would be my opinion. Rather bizarre the way the lower A post has been cut open with Air Chisel, it would want replacing as well.

Re: Ital shell
No rear inner and outer sills
Lots of work he did say it not viable to do but then wants to charge me £500 might be viable at £100 lots of work as no engine, interior ,front suspension as sold for a minor etc
Barry
Re: Ital shell
Is that the car from York that the engine was for sale on ebay? If it is I emailed him asking about front doors as there was no pictures of the car other than a red engine bay and he said the drivers door was badly damaged, so I would say accident damage if its the same car.

Re: Ital shell
It just looks like its been vandalised to me. What's been cut with an air chisel and bent back can't count as body repair. I know you're trying to save the green one and that I don't do bodywork, not at that level anyway, but I think your instinct to walk away is right. Asking £500 after doing that damage just sounds like the typical classic car chancer trying to cash in on other people's enthusiasm.
