It needs a lock barrel, Gareth. I think you pull the wires from under the dashboard and touch them together to start it. I've seen it done on Starsky and Hutch.

No, that's the proper way to do it.... I was told Hollywood tie the wires together. Another one who thinks he's got old gold. I inquired about saving the interior, dash etc and some other bits, even offered to pick it all up... £400! Boy did I Lol

That is a bargain. I would have paid him £150 at the most maybe. £400 for an incomplete interior needing work, forget it!
