The 924 did have a LT van derived engine but with different internals and Bosch K Jetronic injection in place of the carb on the van. Not sure if a carb variant was ever available but I have never seen one. 4 Stud VAG wheels are 100x4 PCD same as BMW and GM from what I have seen I think the 5 Stud are the same as Ford.

Funny story. I only had the four mags & wanted a mag for a spare. As you do.
I went to a Porsche wreckers in Brisbane & noticed he had 1 on the wall. He wanted $100 for it, not a bad price, I said I would take it. He aced it on the counter & then asked me what year my 924 was.
I laughed & said I wouldn't own one of them, this is for my Marina.
He quickly dragged the mag off the counter & refused to sell it to me. Some people.

Would wheels from an Mg BGT fit on a mk3?

No not a Saloon Coupe or estate but will fit a Pick up and 575 10cwt Van
