Today.. had to pop to my garage.
As the weather was dry I gave it a 10 mile shakedown with a bottle of coolant flush in readiness for an antifreeze change tomorrow.
It started first time with bit of easy start and surprisingly the clutch wasn't stuck on as it hadn't moved since my last show in August!

Fitted a new/old alternator on TDT today. The one I removed was only about three years old brand new! The charge light glowed on tick over and gradually went out as the revs got higher. Forty year old Lucas unit still working like a charm! Big thanks to Martin for the alternator, sent out last week but I had to wait until today for a 50 AMP rated wire from eBay as I didn't have any handy. The Mrs can now stop asking me when will it be done and life can go back to normal, when the Mrs is happy, everyone is happy!

Yep, keeping the other half happy is job number one!
Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Four days before I got married, ten days ago, I had to explain to my near future wife I’d not only bought the car I’d ‘just gone to look at’ I’d also bought the car next to it that I didn’t want! The guy just wanted them both gone and it seemed mean to not help him
As from this weekend I’ll be up to 13 vehicles

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
I've not done much to mine since the clocks changed and it's been getting colder, as well as with the standard work getting in the way. I've recently been welding some metal fences for a friend but after getting frustrated with the welder, I gave up for a couple of hours (welder's now fixed thankfully so I can still do the cars.. damn )
I decided to spend them 2 hours working on REW, as I last used it for the Milton Keynes show late September. I managed to get the seat bolted in at last and with a jump start, the engine fired up, although it was starting to get moldy under the bonnet . I then found the clutch and brakes were seized so spent a little while sorting them out before going for a quick drive to free it off further ready for a Christmas party me and Rosie are going to this weekend and I planned to use it then; and that drive was enough to convince me not to put it up for sale in the new year!

Nice day yesterday so checked on garages, yellow ital covered up & ok ,but Gabby could see daylight for a bit. so re- fitted charged battery
warmed her up & went for little run, nothing exciting, a quick check of tyre pressure's at sainsburys & up to the m42, couple of junctions then a trundle back on side roads, taking in the pub for a quick shandy.
Saw on old porsche there & on the way back flashed a triumph 2000 coming the other way.
Gabby behaved as she should brakes nice & free, Auto box ok, purred along back home to bed.
Only 20 miles or so but enjoyable never the less,
It's been a good year for the club, so to all you Guy's n Gal's out there have a good Christmas & see you in 2020...
Happy Marina -ing Gil....

Gave the Brown coupe a few pumps on clutch pedal, slave cylinder was a bit stiff but freed off. Could not run it as battery was flat and I had no electric in shed, to charge it up. As I am rewiring the shed at moment, so hope clutch not stuck to flywheel.

Brilliant gathering at junction 24 today. Such an eclectic mix of vehicles- over 350 in total.
Everything from tractors and trucks to fire engines to bikes and tons of classic cars!
Did the 130 mile round trip, a lot of it in fog with no problems with Phil. A must go for next year!

Took Renzo’s Jub out to Vintage Stony yesterday, really good turnout. I only took pictures of the Jub, but if you follow the link there’s an enormous collection of pics to check out
