Does anyone know anything about the Company called 'J Frey'? There makers mark is on most of the badges used on the Marina and probably on every other BL product of that era.
Also, how was the TC front badge and the Marina script badge painted so that the raised shiny letters were un-painted and perfect?

Thanks Bryan. The article gave me some dates and the factory location. Thank you. I suspect the collapse of BL was partly to blame for the business closing. Am trying to refurbish to ' as new '

Re: TC Badge
I'd imagine the grill pieces would have been in some sort of jig and silk screened. They could knock out thousands in a short time that way.
Isn't the TC badge separate? They too I would guess would also have been silk screened using some kind of chemical process to achieve the chrome finish. It's just a guess but I can't see any other way of it being done.

Re: TC Badge
The 2 types of TC grille badges are metal with pins to locate. One is cast to the grille shape. The other is a flat badge that looks bent to shape. Just Frey also did ford badges too.
