As usual I know nothing, but you could try phoning this guy up. He's got a lot of cross-referencing catalogues.

Re: 10cwt van rear brake shoes
Below are all the TRW cross reference numbers part numbers for GS6067. I have checked Chris's original part number of GBS 610, in my Genuine BL Morris marina catalogue and agree that is correct. In a earlier post I listed the Delphi Cross reference with applications, picture and dimensions to check against your original shoes, fitted to your van. In short any of the part numbers listed below should fit your van.

Hi Paul,
Every manufacturer has their own part number list, so no two are the same, also over the years a manufacturer will renumber their parts list, so and old (usually lower number) will be updated, particularly if they use an old part on a new car.
This is how all the part numbers that David has listed all point to the same part.

Re: 10cwt van rear brake shoes
Also most car makers have two suppliers for many bought in parts. This is so in the case of outside supply difficulties the production line does not get stopped. Car makers don't make a lot either in the case of brakes BL at the time would and given a specification of brakes they required. At the time the two major UK players were Lockeed now Dephi and Girling now TRW, this also contributes to part number change. As does lining material composition like the removal of asbestos for instance. In the case of Unipart GBS was the prefix for Brake Shoes and AF was added to the end to denote Asbestos free. The other thing car makers are good at is re part numbering parts so say a brake pad is used on an Marina, the same pad may be used somewhere else in the range say possibly a Jaguar. It would have two different prices and the Jaguar owner, would be paying a lot more money for the same part!!

Good point David,
For parts on my Stag, if you say it’s for a Stag it’s usually about half as much again than the same part on a Triumph 2000, Dolomite, TR7 or various Rover parts.

Re: 10cwt van rear brake shoes
When I worked in the electric cable industry in the 80s and 90s we used to have a cable winding machine, German made I think, that used car brake pads on a disc brake system that slowed down the take-up drum. We used to have a spare set of brake pads in the spares cupboard. It's a long time ago now but I think the car application on the box was Jensen Interceptor!
Re: 10cwt van rear brake shoes
thank you everyone, all is very much appreciated. I think the most likely candidate is the TWR GS6067, which, as it's actually available, i think might be my best shot. with the suspect rear brakes possibly coming up in the next MOT, in May, we shall see if it's correct.
Yes, i know mine van will be MOT exempt from May on, but as i use as daily transport, plus the Cornish air is most unkind n the bodywork, i am going to keep doing the MOT on safety grounds alone.
thanks again everyone for your help

Re: 10cwt van rear brake shoes
Are there any places that still do brake relining? That could be an option.
