Im new here

Post by Marymorris » Sun May 31, 2020 10:16 pm

Hi all, I'm Thomas and have a 1978 1.3 Special in the south east. "Mary" the morris has been in the family for around 15 years now but has been stood outside and inside for around 5 years due to running problems and not having the time. My brother and I inherited it from our late grandfather 3 years ago and both work on classic cars so luckily have had the interest to fix it and keep it in the family. A few pictures...

Going to go through the whole car to get it safe and roadworthy again
Thankfully its solid and not a horror story underneath

Thanks for the replies, i should probably start a thread in the members section? I share it with my brother and our plans are to get it on the road, tinker and enjoy! We own quite a few other cars which weve modified but we plan to keep this original but dont mind the odd oem+ part and i guess also subject to what bits are available for these. Taking it to local car shows, country fairs and the odd weekend run will most likely be the use but i wouldnt mind using it as the daily commute haha

Ahh yes, thank you, we attend hellingly and both laughton shows every year. The marina was brought to most of them before running issues came along.

Cool :) Brown vinyl roof looks really complements the sandglow doesn't it. Prefer the mk1 trims to the mk2 version as well.
