I am just completing the refurb of my rear axle and am fitting the brake pipe.
Does anyone know if there is supposed to be any protection where the pipe is clipped to the axle using the little bendy strips?
Cheers Robin

Originally mine had some rubber bits but they had mostly long since degraded. Last time I used a bit of petrol pipe, split to go over the pipe.

Same here - 1/4” (6mm) petrol hose fits perfectly.

I had some Ford Vac pipe which was perfect and used that in the same way.
