Well, lots of 'how to do it' articles, the club telescopic conversion kit, another super installment of Marina/BL history from our club archivist....an overview of the upcoming club national rally....am I getting any warmer?

On P29 there’s a picture (right side) of the failed clutch cylinder assembly. May I ask what is the spring clip around the barrel with a tail over the mounting eye? Thank you.

Could possibly be a MoProd slave cylinder, they are held in place with a spring clip.

Thanks I wondered that but wasn’t sure as the Moprod ones I have seen pictures of ( never seen one in real life) have been shinier than the cast ones but this one looks like it’s been there a while. I wonder why the Moprod ones didn’t catch on- would make so much easier perhaps. There might be a lip in the photo like the cast ones have? Thanks again.

No it’s a standard cast iron Lockheed slave cylinder, the clip is an anti-rattle clip/spring fitted the later cars by BL. The clip will fit any standard cast iron clutch slave any model, any year.

That's interesting Chris, not seen one of those before. Is that BL admitting that the original Marina clutch slave fitment was a bit of Ill conceived design then?
