Post by crashbang » Wed Apr 07, 2010 11:10 pm

ok just put a repaired block in its had new rings and main / big end berings in i put 200 mills on at gentle revs but got a 12 car on friday i am useing a new driver so not shaw his style but i dont have any other car to use also i put new shoes in and now its really hard to lock the back wheels at speed (cheep shoes :x ) even though i have ajusted the hell out of them and put a new hand brake cable in
so
A just marshal
B go and be a boss in the car (keep driver in cheq more than usual )
c go and wingit and give it a good thrashing

Be the boss, your car, your money, your rules. It's easier to pull back from a strong position, than to get tough later on.

See how the first stage or two goes and how the car and driver is performing and then re-assess.

I agree, if you go out and compete you will be smoking by the end, wont take much to do some damage. Get some miles on it test it under 'controlled' conditions first
