*** THE £15,000 MARINA ***
Don't be alarmed what you have read is right, really a Morris Marina that has been sold for £15,000,it's not a ultra-rare rally car,it's not been previously owned by a film star or great sports personality, political dictator, great statesman or captain of industry, and it's not even a T.C
The car is a basic MK1,in a basic colour,in average condition,it's had half a dozen owners at least and has done well over a 100,000 miles,so what's so special about this car? simple the number plate, for those of us in the know it's a pretty good one that uses the original plate to make a name, and this it does very well, once the plates are transferred the car will be given away with a full 12 months MOT test for free to a forum member who won't be keeping it,so the next MK1 to appear on Flea-bay might be this very car.
At the moment i can't say anymore, strange but true.

Re: *** THE £15,000 MARINA ***
Some one will end up with a good cheap car then!?
What was the Number plate which was so special?
I have always been interested in Plates and pre-reg ones etc.
I missed my big chance of having my ideal plate as it went for stupid money £13,500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I ask the guy at auction why he spent so much to get that plate, he said - Well I did not won't to pay that for it!!!!
And it says this (£$%$£$$)! I then told him - it needed two'N's' and not one to spell that which I think upset him  8)
Real shame as it was my surname with out miss spacing any numbers / letters or putting fixings in the wrong place
It now sits on a silver Merc 1.8cc saloon somewhere!
wonder if he is hard up now?

Going slightly off subject... someone had a show plate made up for his Paxo reading AR53 OLE.....
The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....

IG & IN would never be used on British mainland numbers with year letters - & *EV IL & *EV 11L would need to have any letter except I, O & Z before it.
