What did you do to your Marina today?
Just thought I would start a topic on what people have done to their Marinas so its like a blog as its always interesting to see what different folk do on a daily basis.
Today I didn't do anything to Reynard but I did start clearing out the back of the 10cwt van mainly to look for a 1/4 litre of paint for Reynard which I did eventually find stuffed in the back of the van. I also took a mental note of what parts I have in the loft for the pick up as I'm going to get more work done on that project when I'm on holiday in a few weeks

"Today" I drove my Marina over the middle of the Southern Alps, in the middle of winter, in the middle of the night.
Apart from that - I reduced the size of the fuel tank by 25%...

On a rock - Kilroy?
Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
I just read about your adventure Kilroy and it sounded like you had a great time. It brought back memories of the floods we had in England a few years back when I was trying to collect an Austin Allegro from Swindon lol

No rock Chris - just a nasty suck...
ado28 - floating a Marina seems to sound sensible - floating an Allegro just doesn't have the same ring...

New downpipes made up and fitted to the Blue TC today
I'll buy every 3 legged donkey on the lot, and try and save em all.

I took Reynard to work again today and got slagged to death by my mate who does all our recovery work then he asked me when I was painting it. I told him I was just going to touch it up and then he offered to paint the car for me if I prepared it and bought the paint!

Today i didn't drive either Marina but yesterday did a 75 mile round trip , visited a show in Lowestoft then caught the end of one in Gt Yarmouth had an ice ream then drove home to Norwich. and loved every minute, had a few waves from other classic cars and a few regular cars, got told at the petrol station filling up on the way out by some one filling their focus "my dad had one of those, i loved it" funny everyone seems to know someone whose owned a Marina at some time

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Yesterday I went to an 'Autosolo' event organised by a local (40 miles away) rally club. We were timed over a course around cones and obstructions, but between buildings and rusty fences. We had 6 runs over two versions of the course.
The mini's ran away with it with handbrake turns, but I had a great time and some good laughs with a good crowd and will probably have a go at other events they organise.
Today, I took the top hinge off the passenger side door to reduce it's opening and so stop the front edge of the door hitting the lower hinge. Two blobs of weld did the trick, a bit if paint and refit it all.
Tomorrow, clean up the front edge of the door and a bit of painting.
