Trying my best on the internet cars. Don't know very much about MK2s or MK3s though so relying on DVLA data for trim levels and engine sizes for them!

As a rule of thumb:

Deluxe had no rubbing strip on the bumpers and plastic seats
Supers had no rubbing strip on the bumpers and cloth seats
Specials had rubbing strip on the bumpers and cloth seats

GT's had tinted glass and two parallel coach lines that went to a point

LE's are obvious, as guide just think of a cool deckchair

I think that will do, Im happy to be corrected though!

Thanks for the info :)

How about MK3s? All seem to come up as 'L's!

Phew that's enough for tonight! Trying to avoid doing forum members' cars as they can give better details themselves already :)

Hopefully most of my information will be replaced by owners writing in with their own information (including proper colour names  ).

Tried to avoid doing MK3s too until I can find out more about trim levels! Might not do much over the weekend but there will be lots to come next week

Oh I should just add all photos I have been adding are either my own, or they have been put into the public domain. They have been taken from Facebook groups (NOT personal Facebook profiles) and the movie cars have come from IMCDB.

There are LOADS of cars on Flickr but as far as I know it is not possible for me to use those images :( I will however add any information on the cars but without a picture.

Well done Josh! That has bulked out the database. I'll try and run some better analysis on it later.

Btw, rule of thumb for mk3

Bumper without strip and silver tape = base model

Chrome bumper with rubber strip = L

As above but with sill trim and different wheel trims = HL

I think that's it... But can't find my bible at the moment!
