Wheel nut covers

Post by Kilroy » Fri Oct 11, 2013 2:05 am

Hey folks.

Does anyone know if the black plastic covers as fitted to the wheel nuts on Mk3 Marinas are able to be sourced anywhere.?

Have not seen any on ebay when I have looked - but there may be other sources.?

Thanks,
Kilroy

iirc when Chris was looking for them for his pickup, a few people posted they had some, and some alternative sources were given? Or am I just confused? :shh:

There were some offers, in the end I bought a complete set of NOS Commercial nut covers from a forum member, so I never took up any of the other offers.

Commercial nuts are 3/4" across, Saloon & Coupe nuts are slightly small, so Commercial nut covers will fall off a Saloon or Coupe nut.

Thanks folks.

Unfortunately - saloon nut covers fall off saloon nuts too... :(
Problem is that the sun ages the plastic badly and they crack up.

I see that Rimmer Bros still sell the Triumph chrome or stainless nuts which will do the same job and take the same thick plastic retaining washers - albeit at a price.
May have to go there.

Still looking though...

Hi all, obviously this thread is 10 years old! Are there any updates on where I can buy wheel but covers for mk 3 Saloon? I did recently buy some from ‘the internet’ that said they would fit, but guess what, they didn’t!

Any help/advice would be gratefully received, thank you.
