8) what is the better carburetter.? at present the "auld yin" is fitted with the later 4 stud 1300 ital carburetter. would it be better to fit the earlier 2 stud carburetter as what should be on it anyway or doesnt it matter.?

Hi Larry, happy new year!, carbs eh?!...well personally i would put an hs4 back on the car so it "looks" right, but the hif6 is a better carb, not so much from a performance point of view, but it is less prone to flooding and leaks, i went for an original carb on my van and just fitted a better needle, to give it a bit more go
