Excellent stuff! I wouldn't mind haveing a go at this next year once SLK is totally finished and then move onto the next project! We've got a 1300 mk3 that would be ideal! One project at a time me thinks!

Exeter Trial in a £50 car

Post by TrialsMarina » Sat Jan 12, 2008 6:16 pm

Hi Ben,

You do not need anything special, my local baker (Steve) bought a fiat panda with mot for £50, we put a road sign underneath for a sum guard.

He finished ok and said he had not had so much fun for a long time.

You can pick up an entry for the next event ( Lands End Trial) at http://www.themotorcyclingclub.org.uk/

Regards

Martin

I don't think they like the modified cars in trials Jim! But hey why not!

No problem with modified cars, but you do not need too much power just loads of TORQUE to the back wheels.

There was another 1.8 Marina in the Exeter but I did not see him after the start so not sure if he finished. He did tell me he has quite a few Marinas at home also some estates and vans ( no 10cwt one with the trials axle).

He is not on computer but i will try and find out where he is from.

Could be Joe or Jason Warren? He is the local area rep down that way.

They have a body shop in Exeter.

I have checked the programme and his name was:

David Lack from Stoke on Trent

His navigator was Guy Forest-Hay
