Thought I'd bring this post to the top again.
I still think we should get a few rally prep Marinas together for a thrash round somewhere.
Mine's in bits at the mo being re-built.

I have 2 off Marina halfshafts you can have if you like and either make doorbars yourself or buy some from Escort & Rally Spares, Peter Lloyd Rallying or similar.

I see you're in Market Rasen......so am I.
My Morris Coupe is a road rally car and we do local 12 cars

We've had this and our solution has been to run some weld round the worn shaft then take it back to the proper diameter (a lathe is best but a grinder will do).

I've done the Beaver rally run by Beverly a few times in my orange Morris Coupe

My Morris is road rally spec, not enduro spec, it's got a fuel injected 2 litre Pinto so is only ok for night rallies.
I should be entering the Mercian rally down your way later in the year.

Those wheels look like Montego steel wheels to me.....I used to run them before switching to the MG Maestro alloys I now run as the steel wheels wouldn't clear the bigger brakes.
I think we should meet up somewhere where we can properly test the cars in safety, a track day on a airfield or similar.

I road rally my Morris and a few others on here compete in them.
We should all get together sometime at a track day

It's a pity you rally chaps aren't up in Lincolnshire

Primary colours mainly, John Deere yellow or green, Ford blue etc etc

We all use tractor paint to paint our rally cars, it's dead cheap, dries really hard and is easy to use. We regularily re-spray our cars and they look pretty good.
