Re: *** THE TOP TEN MARINA MYTHS ***

The Mk1 cavalier is a soft ride by modern standards and from the couple of Marinas I have driven they are slightly softer...maybe down to age.

Retro Picture time!

Actually taken at my house yesterday and 'aged'

I still think we should get a few rally prep Marinas together for a thrash round somewhere.
Mine's in bits at the mo being re-built.
Sounds like a good idea, get them noticed out there with the Escorts  Be a talking point if nothing else

PCT's are the other option. Most of the ones you see in the pics are old RWD cars or Novas... maybe can do a bit of everything except auto tests cant see it being overly good at them

Re: Lead replacement options

Backs up what I thought... I have always used the redex or Valvemaster and cringed when I had to run on UL without as I couldnt get any. It was only for a week and not many miles so was ok... I'll save my 25 Quid then :D

Lead replacement options

I use Castrol Valvemaster in my Mk1 Cavalier but have used Redex in the past. Obvious thing is hardened valve seats as a permanent alternative but what is the general opinion of these things.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270547660962&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Re: Water in the footwells part 3

Reading this reminds me of a Montego we had as a fleet car at work. Was a saloon and brand new back then, it leaked water into the boot. I remember being the youngest at the time so I was thrown in the boot with a torch while they hosed the car down. I found the leak but the buggers wouldnt let me ...
