The Leyland P76 in Australia also gets its fair share of bad press - even from Museums which have them in their own collections, with false information.
Must be a BMC/Leyland thing...

Had a dodgy indicator, car's had a 'auto electrician' in it before - chocolate blocks and twisted together wires galore.
Fixed the indicator problem, flowed some solder into a crimp on type fitting that was the ground.
Noticed the R/H well in the boot was full of water, so let the drain plug go ...

Thanks for the feedback. I've been browsing the net, and the only photos I've found of seat belts in UK BL cars so far show the Mini changed to stalks about 1975 (earlier brochure pics had no seatbelts). Australian Minis had the same binnacle in 1972, so I assume all Leyland Australia cars used ...
