It's always nice to see the car you own on the T.V or on the silver screen, well here's three films to keep a look out for.....
"What ever happened to Harold Smith "(1999) comedy set in 1977 starring Lulu,Tom Courtney and Stephen Fry,filmed on location in Sheffield, some of the scenes where filmed
on the road where i used to work (tried to get "Nell" in as period car prop)
Nice shot of red mk2 saloon (with Starsky and Hutch stripe)
"The Drowning Pool" (1975) thriller, starring Paul Newman, again some nice shots of an Americian GT coupe, with a very nice body stripe.
Possibly The Ken Loach film "The Navigators"(2001) drama again filmed in Sheffield and some scenes on the same street where i worked (in fact at my dads old firm) i'm led to believe a couple of Ital Vans are seen a couple of times ( also Brian (the Dragnet ) Saunders YRG coupe i seem to remember was seen on an episode of Spender starring Jimmy Nail... if anybody knows any more please let me know Russ....
