Well with a heavy heart my 20 year journey with my Morris Marinas has come to a conclusion. Both coupe and saloon have been sold and disappeared down the road on transporters.
I've had amazing times with them, driven them over a hundred thousand miles as everyday family transport, the way they were the intended to be used.
But with working longer hours, and the seemingly constant bad weather it became increasingly difficult to keep on top of things, in the same way as Gareth from Neath found.
I'd like to express my gratitude to all the members of the MMOC and of this forum for the help, advice and comradeship over the last 20 years.

Re: Here Endeth!
Well you did well keeping them as daily drivers, mine would be a mess now if it was not kept as a occasional car.
Are they off to be restored by someone else ort have they now gone to the grave yard?
I hope they will live again and sad to lose you.

Re: Here Endeth!
Thanks Paul.
Well they have been bought by a scrap man, but he only scraps your ordinary everyday stuff. For example he owns five MK1 Escorts! Two Mk1 Escort Vans, a MK1 Granada Ghia 3.0 Coupe, and a MK1 Transit! Along with various other classics. He actually called round at my house years ago asking if I wanted to sell my coupe and left his number. So, they will be restored, he wants to buy all my spares too so I'm happy that they're going to a good home.
I've replaced them with a more modern car that was also built at Cowley!

Sorry to hear that Tony, end of an era! You did a great job keeping them alive. Hope you'll still be around from time to time on here!

Hi Josh, yes I'll still keep up with things on here, see what you're all up to. I'm still interested in Marinas and all aspects of BMC, BL/MG Rover history after all.
