hay just a idea but with some of us useing the marina as a fun car. it may be time to start putting up team for basic motor sport, most events have a teams entry. and its more fun if you are running as a team but just basic stuff so we can use just a standard car and do it on a buget

What sort of thing you thinking Craig? I'd be up for helping re track days etc. May be doing a Trials project with Jim next year but just for a bit or track action with SLK would be nice! ! The MMOC has MSA membership so we could speak to Chris Weedon and see if that could be of some use?

track day can be expensive i was thinking more value for money say
sunday regulrty runs ( time keeping on open roads)
p.c.t. (skill tec driving)
auto tests (tec and fast driving)
trials (picking the good line and make it work)
all day road rally historic (on open roads for regularty but speed test off road)
night road rally (v late on open roads faster than regulrty run )
12 car evening (the same as night but finish in time for the pub)
lots of the events are also social and all have a good feel
all can be use a standard car and most entry fees are under £20
i will try to find some pic so you can see what i am on about

Basingstoke Motor club run an autotest in a field between Overton and Whitchurch ( Hampshire) once a year, you do not need a licence and its good fun. Open to anyone.

I'd better get sorted then! Could a modern car be used on any of these rallys? I was thinking of using my Calibra until I get sorted with a Marina rally car??

Cool, I'm moving down south anyway!

We have found a car for Rallying. What years do they class as classics for the regs?

ok list of some stuff going on all you will need to do is join one of the motor clubs cost £10 for the year. some events will req a licence from the m.s.a. and are marked NB and ones with CM are open to club members http://www.asemc.org.uk/
as for the age of car historic has now moved up to 1980's but if you look at the regs for that event you will see age related classes and you can get novice classes as well have a look at the regs and ask the orginsers for help
