I'm afraid not Mike it's registered in Steel City, quite aptly for a Marina the suffix is WET, won't be that for much longer, as soon as it's tested I'm off to the local DVLA office armed with my heritage certificate, to tax it & get rid of the Q-plate.Marinanut wrote:That isn't WAR335W is it?
Whats wrong with a Q plate? A bit more exclusive (skillful home builds) and distinctive than any other suffix/prefix letter and if it is the pickup´s first genuine UK registration then its authentic too - you could even name the pickup ´Q´ and absolutely no connection to the Star Trek character of the same namemarinabrian wrote:I'm afraid not Mike it's registered in Steel City, quite aptly for a Marina the suffix is WET, won't be that for much longer, as soon as it's tested I'm off to the local DVLA office armed with my heritage certificate, to tax it & get rid of the Q-plate.Marinanut wrote:That isn't WAR335W is it?

Brian.
For the exact same vehicle??? How odd, I have learned something about greedy UK insurance companies looking for excuses to charge more.....so Q plate is regarded as a very high risk class regardless of the actual make, model and specmarinabrian wrote:575 pickup insurance £95 fully comp, 575 Q plate pickup insurance £320 Third party only!
What do you think?
